This year’s edition of the Vine and Wine Festival begins on Tuesday in Borba, with the participation of around 70 exhibitors, with emphasis on producers from Alentejo. The initiative brings forward the opening to coincide with Saint Martin’s Day
The event dedicated to wine and vineyards, which usually receives thousands of visitors in the city of Borba, will take place until the 16th, in the events pavilion, with free entry. The main objective of the initiative is to promote Alentejo wines, with the participation of producers who present hundreds of references for tasting and sale.
The party, which opens at 10 am on Tuesday, serves as a presentation of new wine from local producers by São Martinho and, according to the municipality, “a lot of entertainment and conviviality is guaranteed” during the six days.
According to the organization, the event, which is part of the Cidade do Vinho 2025 program, this year dedicated to the Serra d’Ossa subregion, offers visitors a program of entertainment, gastronomy, wine tasting, regional products and crafts.
The City of Wine 2025 is a title shared by the municipalities of Borba, Estremoz, Redondo, Vila Viçosa and Alandroal, under the theme “Serra d’ Ossa Wines – Identity and Future – Brands that leave History!”.
